We are looking for a Test Engineer & Lab Support (m/f/d), full time with an unlimited contract, for our office in Erlangen. Please note, that this role requires fluent German language skills.
In this role you will perform as a member of a dynamic hardware engineering team developing cutting edge energy storage tools.
Your responsibilities:
- Test software and hardware for ongoing development projects
- Responsible for developing and maintaining test cases using Agile Scrum software development methodologies
- Responsibilities will include compliance management, technical documentation, testing support and process efficiency
· Perform validation testing and complete root cause analysis of possible failures in components, subsystems and product-level systems
· Review product and process non-conformance and recommend remedial actions including but not limited to modifications of products, processes or QA standards where warranted
· Experience in forming design/analysis of a system or new requirements and testing embedded systems for industrial uses, particularly feedback control systems
Your skills:
· Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering or related technical field
· 5+ years of experience design and testing of power electronic devices
· Experience using a Test Case Management System such as TestRail and capturing day to day activities in JIRA
· Ability to support product concepts through the evaluation and implementation of new and state-of-the-art technologies that address challenging customer problems
· Ability to use engineering expertise to analyze complex hardware, electronics, software, and fluidics systems, design, architecture, and other technical issues
· Experience working with hardware and software in loop test harnesses
· Desire to participate, define, and adhere to best practices for hardware engineering, development testing, and validation
· Experience in developing test plans and procedures to assess adherence to requirements
· Ability to comprehend high-level objectives and translate that to provide technical leadership to a team of quality engineers
· Have strong oral and written communication skills for communicating ideas to both managers and other technical leads
· Work with external suppliers certifications, test documents, and requirements are all up to date
· Ability to read technical specifications, engineering drawings, and descriptions as they relate to engineering designs, process flow, manufacturing techniques, and quality standards
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide solutions
· Fluent language skills in German and English
· Experience in supporting Linux, Mac and Windows operating systems
· Knowledge in AWS, Openstack, Docker, and/or Github
· Experience with continuous integration, build management, automated test frameworks and assessing existing products
