Job Description

The Usage Billing Specialist handles order requests for usage-based products, ensuring accurate billing and invoice generation. This role maintains customer billing data in the database for sound decision-making. Responsibilities include handling order processes, resolving billing queries, performing monthly billing runs, managing customer data, reconciling contracts, preparing reports, and maintaining data integrity. This role requires ensuring all compliance is observed. The role requires strong data interpretation skills, understanding of computer systems like SAP, Salesforce, and Siebel, and dedication to accuracy, completeness, and continuous improvement. The candidate needs to be able to prioritize tasks and has good written and verbal communication skills. The candidate should be able to work independently and lead multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must have:
  • Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, or Financial Management
  • 1-2 years Finance/Billing/Order-To-Cash experience
  • Strong data interpretation skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, and Siebel
  • Ability to prioritize and attention to details

Job Details

The Usage Billing Specialist plays a key role in handling order requests related to usage-based products, ensuring billing is both accurate and complete.

Further, this role must ensure that the customer billing data are accurately maintained in the database and such database can be used as a basis to make a sound decision making.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the order process for usage products, including order creation and ensuring timely, accurate invoice generation.

  • Handle internal and external customer billing queries ensuring issues are resolved according to departmental guidelines.

  • Perform the billing run on a monthly basis.

  • Creating and modification of customer master data.

  • Reconciliation of the contracts terms vs usages.

  • Preparation of monthly usage reports.

  • Maintain the data integrity in billing system.       

  • Responsible for ensuring all compliance are rigorously observed and accountable for external & internal compliance audit.      

Required Skills:

  • Graduate in related field such as Commerce or Accounting or Financial Management.

  • 1-2 years Finance/Billing / Order-To-Cash background

  • Exhibits strong data interpretation skills, with the ability to extract relevant insights from sophisticated datasets.

  • Possesses a proven understanding of computer systems, with familiarity in SAP, Salesforce, and Siebel considered a strong advantage.

  • Demonstrates a strong dedication to accuracy, completeness, and continuous improvement in assigned tasks, contributing to an outstanding customer experience.

  • Ability to prioritize and has attention to details.

  • Demonstrates strong deadline orientation and excels at leading multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Should possess good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently on multiple activities, showing appropriate level of prioritization and escalation skills.
