Job Description

The Vehicle Readiness Specialist at Tesla plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless customer experience by managing the flow of new and used vehicle inventory. Responsibilities include coordinating vehicle arrivals and inventory across multiple locations, working with internal and third-party logistics providers, generating shipping documents, performing vehicle inspections and safety checks, identifying and reporting vehicle issues, managing vehicle movement and charging, and communicating with various teams involved in the delivery process. The role also includes troubleshooting issues, escalating problems as needed, and occasionally conducting direct deliveries to customers. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential, along with strong organizational skills and teamwork abilities.

What to Expect

The Vehicle Readiness Specialist is a key contributor to the Tesla experience by coordinating the receipt of incoming new and used vehicle inventory. This position is responsible for lot management, movement of vehicles between Tesla locations and vehicle readiness for customer delivery. Candidates must have a high level of accountability, and a personal satisfaction in doing a great job.

What You’ll Do

Coordinate vehicle arrivals and inventory across multiple offsite locations
Coordinate with internal and third-party logistics providers
Generate shipping documents
Perform vehicle readiness inspections and safety checks
Observe and report vehicle concerns
Coordinate and perform vehicle movement and charging
Communicate with various teams that are involved in the vehicle delivery process
Troubleshoot issues and escalate to management through appropriate channels when needed
Conduct direct deliveries from Delivery Centers to customer homes when needed
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs

What You’ll Bring

Valid driver’s license in the country in which you are applying, with a clean driving history, and ability to be insured
High School diploma or equivalent
Proven track record of a great work ethic
Demonstrated ability to be a team player
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to lift up to 25kg if required
