Job Description

The Warranty Specialist is responsible for providing warranty management services to customers, ensuring claims are promptly processed according to established warranty guidelines, contracts, and coverages. They analyze and interpret labor/part claims for legitimacy and coding accuracy. They also escalate or redirect issues to appropriate functions or staff and approve and process claims up to a specific dollar amount. This entry-level position requires basic interpersonal skills and an aptitude for learning and applying established processes and procedures. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies for customer relationship management and retention, collecting and analyzing customer feedback, responding to customer issues, providing routine account servicing, and completing phone audits.

We have an opportunity for a Warranty Specialist to join our Manitowoc team. The Warranty Specialist is responsible for providing warranty management services to customers ensuring claims are promptly processed with established warranty guidelines, contracts, and coverages. Analyzes and interprets labor/part claims for legitimacy and coding accuracy.  Escalates or redirects issues to appropriate functions or staff. Approves and processes claims up to a dollar amount specified by direct management. This an entry-level position and requires basic interpersonal skills and an aptitude to learn and apply established processes and procedures.

You will:

  • Develop and implement strategies and best practices for customer relationship management and retention
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to guide the continuous improvement of customer care services
  • Respond to customer issues in a way that promotes issue resolution and customer retention
  • Provide routine account servicing including account set-up and activation services maintaining customer account data/contact information to facilitate future contact
  • Contact distributors, service companies, customers or appropriate management as required to clarify or obtain needed information to analyze claims
  • Completes phone audits with customers regarding their service experience

Key Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous technical service or customer service experience
  • Must be a team player

Compensation:
The hourly pay for this role is: $22.00/hr
