Job Description

The Accountant will be responsible for coordinating accounting functions, preparing financial reports and analyses, preparing cash tax payment forecasts, assisting with budget preparation and monitoring, maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts, assisting with annual audit preparations, and investigating and resolving audit findings and discrepancies. They will also help organize tax returns, contribute to accounting system development, review financial reporting requirements, and handle multi-currency transactions. This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers.
Must have:

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector.    

 

  
Performance Objectives  
 
  • Coordinates accounting functions and programs. 
  • Prepares financial analyses and reports. 
  • Prepare cash tax payment forecasts.  
  • Assists with preparing and monitoring budgets. 
  • Maintains and reconciles balance sheet and general ledger accounts. 
  • Assists with annual audit preparations. 
  • Investigates and resolves audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance. 
  • Helps to organize federal, state, local, and special tax returns 
  • Contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures. 
  • Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations.  
  • Ability to work with multi-currency entities and ability to translate cross-currency payments (i.e. USD payments made to CAD entities/jurisdictions). 
  • Intercompany activity reconciliations and analysis for internal tracking and tax implications.  
  • Ability to work and comply with internal SOX related requirements.  
  • Performs other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned. 
 
    
Competitive Candidate Profile 
 
  • Bachelor's degree from a three or four-year college or university
  • 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • CPA, or on CPA track, preferred but not required.
  • Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
  • Works independently with general supervision.
  • Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
  • May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
  • Advanced financial analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
