The Alliance Solutions Manager will be responsible for driving growth through technology alliance partnerships, with a key focus on Managed Security Services (MSS). This role involves cultivating relationships with security technology vendors, analyzing market trends, designing and packaging MSS solutions, leading go-to-market initiatives, supporting sales teams, and tracking performance KPIs. The ideal candidate will act as a connector between technology partners, internal sales teams, and customer needs—ensuring our MSS offerings are differentiated, impactful, and go-to-market ready. The role also includes building business cases, creating co-branded solutions, educating internal teams, and identifying joint MSS opportunities.
Must have:
  • 7+ years of experience in the technology sector.
  • Experience building and scaling Managed Security Services.
  • Deep understanding of channel reseller model.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
Good to have:
  • Experience with SIEM, MDR, XDR, SASE technologies.
  • Technical certifications in security (e.g., CISSP).
  • Familiarity with co-sell programs and PRM tools.
  • Strong grasp of compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST).

This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S.

We are seeking a strategic and technically fluent Alliance Solutions Manager to drive growth through our technology alliance partnerships, with a key focus on Managed Security Services (MSS). This role plays a critical part in developing and scaling joint solution offerings that integrate best-in-class security technologies with our managed services portfolio. The ideal candidate will act as a connector between technology partners, internal sales teams, and customer needs—ensuring our MSS offerings are differentiated, impactful, and go-to-market ready.

How you'll make an impact

  • Alliance Engagement: Cultivate and manage relationships with key security technology vendors to understand their offerings, roadmap, and joint opportunities within the MSS space.

  • Build market analysis and business cases to drive decision-making around Optiv’s MSS strategy.

  • Solution Design & Packaging: Work with R&D function to architect and refine MSS solution offerings that leverage alliance partner technologies, aligning them with market demands and our managed service capabilities.

  • Go-to-Market Enablement: Lead the creation of co-branded security solutions and sales plays. Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to launch campaigns and drive awareness around MSS offerings.

  • Field & Sales Support: Act as a subject matter expert on managed security services and partner solutions, supporting sales teams in customer engagements, account strategy, and technical positioning.

  • Pipeline Development & Co-Sell: Work with alliance partners and internal sales teams to identify, qualify, and drive joint MSS opportunities.

  • Training & Internal Enablement: Educate internal teams on the competitive landscape, partner value propositions, and how our MSS solutions address key customer pain points.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track performance KPIs across alliance initiatives, especially MSS-related engagements, and recommend actions for optimization and growth.

What we're lookng for

  • 7+ years of experience in the technology sector, with a focus on security solutions, managed services, alliances, or technical pre-sales.

  • Proven experience in building and scaling Managed Security Services in collaboration with technology vendors.

  • Deep understanding of the channel reseller model and partner ecosystems.

  • Ability to translate technical security solutions into clear business value propositions for enterprise customers.

  • Strong project management and communication skills; ability to manage cross-functional initiatives across technical and sales teams.

  • Comfortable engaging with senior partner and customer stakeholders.

  • Experience with SIEM, MDR, XDR, SASE, Identity or similar security technologies preferred.

  • Technical certifications in security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific certifications) preferred.

  • Familiarity with co-sell programs, partner portals, and PRM tools preferred

  • Strong grasp of compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, HIPAA, etc.) as they relate to MSS desired.
