The Associate Manager, Asset Management and Technology, based in Minato-ku, Japan, is responsible for operational tasks related to preparing and processing assets for broadcast and on-demand digital media services across the Asia Pacific region. This role involves onboarding vendors, managing systems access and training, workflow analysis, data analysis and reporting, controlling logistics for timely delivery, ensuring media file quality, and maintaining accurate technical data in content management systems. The position requires managing a team of editors, participating in business projects, and troubleshooting operational issues. Responsibilities also include assisting in job order management, resource planning, and communication with internal and external parties.
Must have:
  • Video/Audio editing proficiency (Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Protools)
  • Experience in broadcast/media (3-5 years)
  • Knowledge of UHD, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos
  • Asset management and workflow expertise
  • Data analysis and reporting skills

  • OTT platform knowledge
  • Experience with subtitle/dubbing materials

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing operational tasks, including but not limited to, preparing and processing assets for broadcast and On-demand and digital media services in the Asia Pacific regions. Support technical inquiries related to operational or technical issues from both internal and external parties.

 Responsibilities:

  • On boarding new vendors; setup systems access; organized and training on Disney systems.
  • Assist in workflow analysis and implementation.
  • Assist in data analysis and generating statistic reports.
  • Control the logistic flow to ensure timely delivery of all materials for publishing and/or distribution.
  • Control and approve the quality of incoming and processed media files, including subtitle and dubbing materials, before sending for publishing and/or distribution.
  • Capture and record technical data related to assets, including timecode, media quality control results, and format information. Maintain data accuracy in all application systems used by operational functions, i.e., content management systems for both linear and nonlinear services, and their media processing systems.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality completion of tasks assigned by the superior.
  • Assist in tracking details of all operational problems, investigate, and provide solutions.
  • Ensure that all aspects of standard operational procedures are maintained and kept up-to-date.
  • Assist the superior in managing job orders, organizing facilities and resource planning, and communicating with various groups within and non-Disney parties.
  • Act as a team leader, managing a group of editors and participating in business projects initiated by the company that are relevant to operations.

  Requirement:

  • Diploma/Degree in video production, media studies or other related fields
  • A minimum of 3~5 years of related working experience in the broadcast/media industry
  • Proficient in Video/Audio editing software; like Adobe Premiere / After Effects / DaVinci Resolve / Protools
  • Expertise with production and post-production workflows and UHD, HDR, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos technologies.
  • knowledge in various OTT platforms is an added advantage.
  • Self-motivated, team player and positive attitude towards work
  • Able to prioritize effectively and adapt to different tasks flexibly.
  • Possesses the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Willing to work on shift basis (9am ~ 9pm)
