Cloud BI Sales Specialist

Job Description

The Cloud BI Sales Specialist at Google Cloud will build relationships with customers, manage complex sales cycles, identify solution use cases, and influence long-term strategic account direction. This role requires achieving sales quotas, exceeding growth goals, forecasting sales, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, etc.) to develop and execute Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies. Responsibilities include developing strategic account plans, understanding customer technology footprints and strategies, and demonstrating how Google Cloud's technology can transform businesses. The specialist will work with multiple customers and opportunities simultaneously, focusing on building accounts and closing agreements. Fluency in English and at least one other language (Spanish, French, Italian, or German) is required to support client relationship management.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years sales experience
  • Experience working with sales engineers and technical leads
  • Experience in technology selling/consulting, data analysis, or BI
  • Quota achievement and exceeding growth goals
Good to have:
  • 2+ years enterprise software or cloud sales
  • Experience with commercial/legal agreements
  • Understanding of the Data Analytics technology stack
  • Executive stakeholder engagement
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, French, Italian, or German

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in planning, pitching, and executing a territory sales strategy.
  • Experience working with sales engineers and customer’s technical leads to build business cases for transformation and the plan for implementation.
  • Experience in technology selling/consulting, data analysis, or Business Intelligence.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a sales role in the enterprise software or cloud space.
  • Experience executing commercial and legal agreements with procurement, legal, and business teams.
  • Experience and understanding of the Data Analytics (DA) technology stack.
  • Experience in engaging and collaborating with executive stakeholders as a business advisor and thought leader in BI.
  • Ability to communicate in English, Spanish, French, Italian or German fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, manage complex business cycles, identify solution use cases, and influence long-term strategic direction of accounts.
  • Deliver against quota and achieve or exceed strategic business and growth goals while forecasting and reporting your territory’s business.
  • Work with Google accounts and cross-functional teams (e.g., Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Channels) to develop Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, drive pipeline and business growth, close agreements, understand the customer, and provide excellent prospect and customer experience.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, including a broader enterprise plan across key industries, and focus on building accounts.
  • Work with multiple customers and opportunities simultaneously, understanding each customer’s technology footprint and strategy, growth plans, business drivers, competitors, and how they can transform their business using the technologies.
