Job Description

As a Cyber Claims Adjuster, you will be the primary claims liaison between multiple insurers and the Claims Manager for assigned personal lines claims. Responsibilities include managing administrative duties for a newly established Captive Insurance Program, such as running reports, ensuring workflow compliance, issuing payments, and maintaining records. You will collaborate with the claims manager to identify and document handling strategies, utilize claims software, create reports, and become a key contributor to the Captive Insurance program. You will also be responsible for identifying coverage issues, drafting letters, and serving as a point of contact for reinsurance partners. This role requires staying current on cyber claims trends and best practices and maintaining required state licenses and continuing education credits. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
Must have:

In this role you will be the main claims liaison between multiple insurers and the Claims Manager for assigned personal lines claims. This role will also be responsible for all administrative duties with a newly established Captive Insurance Program, such as running required bordereau reports, establishing workflow compliance, issuing payments, maintain enrollment records and all other associated tasks.  

What You'll Bring:

  • 3-5 years of Insurance Claims experience in property/casualty
  • Bachelors Degree or Claims Designation
  • Excellent writing and communication skills are required, ability to review policy and draft detailed Reservation of Rights and Denials. 
  • Must be able to obtain continuing education credits.
  • You must have at least one insurance adjusters license in your domiciled State and the ability to obtain further adjuster licenses as required.

  • A background in Captive Insurance programs a plus.
  • Ability to grow into a role that will be a key contributor in a new Captive Cyber Insurance initiative.
  • Able to learn and grasp insurance concepts as well as cyber related claim scenarios required.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Collaborate with claims manager and internal Resolutions/Fraud Team to identify and document handling strategy within the scope of personal cyber coverages
  • Able to work with a claims software system that tracks claims diary, claims assignments, notes, creation of loss/bordereau reports.
  • Ability to create/run required reports for a Captive Insurance Program.
  • Become a key contributor and taking ownership of the Captive Insurance program to ensure highly functioning operations.
  • Identify coverage issues and draft appropriate letters to policyholder Process claims in accordance to Best Practices Claims Guidelines with guidance from claims manager
  • Serve as point of contact for the reinsurance partners in a newly established Captive Insurance Program.
  • Complete training in field of cyber claims and maintain current knowledge of trends and best practices. Obtain required State licenses and maintain required Continuing Education.
  • Act as a liaison between the cyber claims team and internal/external stakeholder in the establishment of a Captive Cyber Insurance program by documenting and following established workflows.

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $51,700.00 - $75,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
