Job Description

This Facilities Assistant role, contracted through CBRE, supports the daily operations of PlayStation's London office. Responsibilities include monitoring helpdesk tickets, conducting building checks, managing stationery and printer supplies, assisting with office moves, liaising with contractors, ensuring health and safety compliance, and contributing to environmental initiatives. The role involves staff inductions, ordering furniture, managing waste and energy data, and organizing training. Proactive problem-solving and excellent communication skills are essential.

What you'll be doing:

  • Monitoring of helpdesk and facilities mailbox as well as daily administration tasks
  • Carry out building & meeting room checks daily, ensuring any issues are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Ensure an accurate record is kept of all New Starters and Leavers
  • Carry out Staff inductions
  • The ordering and upkeep of the stationery that is used by all the buildings
  • First point of call for all printer enquires and ordering the consumables
  • Assisting the Facilities Managers with office moves and other general ad-hoc projects
  • Ordering new furniture as and when required
  • Ensure attending contractors onsite have authority to work and have provided the correct health and safety documentation to commence work
  • Liaise with service providers and contractors to ensure regular activities are undertaken e.g., recycling, courier services, pest control etc.
  • General health and safety duties including risk assessments and contractor monitoring
  • Proactively work towards promoting a sense of pride in the Facilities department
  • Assist with the local management of Environmental matters to ensure targets are met
  • Prepare for Health & Safety and Environmental audits
  • Record all waste and energy data in Fabric
  • Organise Fire safety and First Aid training with SIEE staff in line with legislation
  • Ensure signage on site appropriate and current
  • Carry out (DSE) desk assessments as required

What we're looking for:

  • IOSH qualified
  • Experience working within a Facilities environment
  • Previous knowledge of Environmental services
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and written
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office (especially Excel & Power Point)
  • An ability to review and prioritise work
  • A team player but able to work using own initiative with a proactive approach
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A desire and ability to develop and learn new skills and enhance current skills to grow professionally
  • Presentable
