The Group Sales Assistant (GSA) at Disney Theatrical Group supports the Group Sales and Tourism team in managing the group sales booking process for Disney on Broadway productions in NYC. Responsibilities include processing ticket orders (invoicing, payments, shipping), reviewing box office requests, managing SAP payment requests, assisting with sales events and client needs, answering inbound calls and online leads, providing sales performance updates, and collaborating with the team to improve sales processes. The GSA will actively manage and track customer interactions using sales/CRM tools and ensure excellent guest service and timely responses.

Job Summary:

Disney Theatrical Group (DTG) is in search of a Full-Time Group Sales Assistant (GSA) for the Disney on Broadway Groups Sales Department. This position reports directly to the Manager, Group Sales.

The Group Sales Assistant (GSA) will focus on tasks related to the group sales booking process and booking requests. This position will collaborate with the Group Sales and Tourism team to ensure that guest communication and details related to their orders are processed effectively and promptly. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for guest service. This position will be office-based, with limited flexibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Ticket Orders and Drive Operation Efficiency
    • Process all aspects of group ticket bookings including invoicing, payments, reminders, and ticket shipping for Disney’s Theatrical Productions in New York City.
    • Review box office ticket requests to ensure orders are accurate and up to date.
    • Process SAP payment requests for vendors and clients.
    • Provide support for sales events and in-person client needs.
    • Provide regular updates to the Group Sales Manager on sales performance and customer feedback.
  • Sales and Lead Management
    • Answer inbound calls from the Group Sales 1-800 phone line.
    • Promote products and help close sales through excellent guest service.
    • Respond to online lead requests and track requests through a lead life cycle.
    • Support Group Sales Manager with client outreach to maintain partner relationships.
    • Assist with managing the sales email account and inbound service requests, ensuring that guests receive a response within one business day or less.
    • Work proactively and positively towards team sales goals.
  • Be Passionate for Efficiency, Collaboration, and Communication
    • Work with the Manager of Group Sales to review/plan weekly individual and team tasks.
    • Utilize Sales/CRM tools to manage and track customer interactions and sales activities, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
    • Establish clear communication with the sales team, sales partners, and various box office teams for fulfillment of ticket orders.
    • Be an advocate for improving sales processes.
    • Develop strategies to prevent common issues and improve overall customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Enjoy interacting with guests on the phone.
  • Exhibit excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem-solving communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A proactive self-starting approach and an eagerness to learn.
  • Experience in customer service and/or the live entertainment industry.
  • Knowledge of the Broadway industry and a passion for The Walt Disney Company.


The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $42,400 to $54,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
