Job Description

The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting plays a crucial role in Spin Master's Finance team. Responsibilities include leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for North American Toys and Corporate business units; overseeing full-cycle accounting, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting; liaising with the technical accounting team on complex transactions; serving as the primary contact for internal and external auditors; supporting key business partnerships; leading projects under the company's digital transformation initiative; driving process improvements; and leading and developing the Corporate Accounting team. This role requires strong IFRS knowledge, experience with SAP/BPC, and advanced Excel skills.

Job Description:

What will you work on?

Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting is a key member of the Finance team, providing essential support to senior management by delivering accurate financial analysis and reports to support decision-making across the enterprise.

How will you create impact?

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for North America Toys and Corporate business units.
Oversee full cycle accounting, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for operating companies, holding companies and corporate entities
Liaise with the technical accounting team on appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions ensuring adherence to IFRS is met in all circumstances.
Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, facilitating audit processes and ensuring timely provision of required documentation.
Work with and support key business partnerships (i.e. tax, treasury, FPA, consultants, auditors, etc.)
Support and/or lead projects under the Company’s digital transformation initiative and implement new processes and controls to achieve continuous improvement.
Drive process improvements to build efficiency and ensure best practices are employed while leveraging systems, automation, and other solutions as needed.
Lead and develop the Corporate Accounting team, providing guidance, training and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.

What are your skills and experience?

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
Progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles either from a public accounting firm or public company
Experience motivating, guiding and developing a team of accountants
Strong IFRS knowledge
Experience with SAP/BPC
Experience managing the accounting and month end close process including analysis and interpretation of financial information
Strong computer literacy skills with Microsoft Office and advanced level Excel skill (pivots, v-lookups, and advanced formulas)
Experience in implementing new processes and systems
