Job Description

As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) in Medellín, Colombia, you will contribute to building a strong organizational culture and implementing HR strategies. You will be responsible for talent management, employee engagement, and workforce planning. You will collaborate with management and stakeholders to ensure HR practices align with corporate goals and comply with Colombian labor laws. You will foster a positive work environment, address employee concerns, support managers with employee relations, collaborate with the talent acquisition team, develop talent retention strategies, and drive the performance appraisal process. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with Colombian labor laws.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience.
  • Comfortable communicating in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of Colombian labor laws.
  • Experience in handling employee relations issues.
Good to have:
  • Ability to influence senior management on HR initiatives.
  • Experience in a multinational company or global HR setting.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) based in Medellín, Colombia, you will play a crucial role in shaping a strong organizational culture and implementing HR strategies that support Sports Services South America, a subsidiary of LeoVegas’ operations in Colombia. Reporting to the VP of People Operations US and Colombia, you will be responsible for fostering talent management, employee engagement, and workforce planning initiatives.
As the HR leader in the region, this is an exciting opportunity where your leadership, vision, and expertise will drive a high-performing HR function. You will collaborate closely with management and key stakeholders across the business to ensure HR practices align with corporate goals, comply with Colombian labour laws, and support success in a dynamic and evolving environment.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
  • Fostering a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and managing disciplinary actions in compliance with Colombian labor law.
  • Supporting managers with employee relations issues, conducting investigations where necessary, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with the talent acquisition team to align hiring needs with business strategies and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees.
  • Developing talent retention strategies that align with the company’s needs.
  • Driving the performance appraisal process by coaching managers and ensuring that performance feedback is consistent, timely, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensuring company HR policies are well communicated, understood, and implemented in accordance with local labour laws.
  • Collaborating with the global HR team to ensure Colombian HR processes align with global standards.
  • Ensuring the company’s compliance with all Colombian labor laws and employment regulations.
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Essential Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Comfortable communicating in English as it's our corporate language, used on an everyday basis.
  • In-depth knowledge of Colombian labour laws.
  • Proven experience in handling complex employee relations issues.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior management on strategic HR initiatives.
  • Experience in a multinational company or global HR setting.
