Job Description

This Junior Payroll Accountant position in Kaunas, Lithuania, involves assisting the Lead Payroll Accountant with payroll calculations and payments. Responsibilities include processing sick notes and vacation requests, consulting employees on payroll matters, communicating with employees regarding payroll uncertainties, preparing employee reference notes, submitting employee movement reports to tax authorities, and ensuring tax compliance with Lithuanian legislation. The ideal candidate will possess professional accounting education (3rd or 4th-year students are welcome), good English and computer skills, a high sense of responsibility, and the ability to work accurately and within a team.

Job Description

Helping Lead Payroll Accountant with all payroll related calculations and payments;
Processing sick notes, vacations, other entries;
Consulting employees on payroll calculations;
Communication with employees in case of uncertainties;
Preparation of reference notes for employees;
Submitting employee movement reports to tax authorities;
Ensuring that taxes are calculated and accounted for in compliance with the tax legislation of Lithuanian Republic.

Qualifications

Professional accounting education (can be 3rd or 4th-year accounting students);
Good knowledge of English;
Good level of computer skills;
High sense of responsibility;
Ability to accurately fulfil the Lead Payroll Accountant orders and work tasks;
Ability to work in a team.
