Job Description

The Opportunity: 

Provide direct support to the DTC Supply Chain Management and the EMEA Commercial team to ensure timely delivery of finished goods, allocation of inventory to regional distribution centers to meet launch date availability and issuing purchase orders for product receipts at DCs.  Responsible for timely and effective reporting and communication, fulfillment, consistency, and issue resolution for these tasks, while coordinating with different stakeholders within the DTC organization.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Partner with Inbound Logistics, vendors, and sources to coordinate product availability scheduling in local EMEA DCs. Manage receipt/availability prioritization based on commercial strategy and needs.
  • Lead inventory balancing in 3PL fulfillment centers by defining safety stocks requirements and coordinating with EMEA DC Operations the physical movement of inventory from Mattel DCs into the fulfillment center.
  • Gather information & reports as needed to support Business cycles (DTC Commercial Review, S&OE and S&OP processes).
  • Engage with Demand Planning to confirm the consumer shipment needs and use Demand Planning and Commercial input to define the supply strategy and optimize product availability.
  • Verify information accuracy out of operating systems and communicate/escalate accordingly.
  • Identify process issues, and work with the appropriate departments to address them including but not limited to: Match %, Aged Orders, Inventory Aging/Health to ensure issues are being addressed for resolution.
  • Partner with DC so product is received to completion and reflected in systems.
  • Manage inventory in system so that it is properly uploading across the business operation systems (e.g. Shopify)

Other responsibilities may include: 

  • Active participation in Supply Chain responsibilities during the Sales and Operations Execution process.
  • Participate in best practice sharing to ensure efficiency within the Supply Chain team.
  • Provide a point of contact for distribution centers and prepping to streamline communication.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle different tasks are required.  Collaborate on best practices with other Supply Analysts across the DTC organization.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain with a clear understanding of Materials Requirements Planning, Distribution, Supply and Demand Planning.
  • Advanced skills and knowledge in report building and critical thinking on reporting reviews.
  • Able to communicate changing priorities effectively, while maintaining accountability to current responsibility scope.
  • Ability to be a strong advocate for consistency in the approach of tasks, meeting deadlines for task completion for projects that occur on a regular basis.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to have a holistic approach to support the business.
  • Ability to represent department in meetings and in correspondence, requiring a professional demeanor and the ability to present and negotiate for their point of view.
  • Ability to juggle a variety of tasks and priorities, and the ability to react quickly and efficiently to the needs of the business. 
  • Flexibility in time management and resilience that allows one to keep track of product supply withing the supply chain at any given time.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication that supports the ability to exchange pertinent and complete information on a timely basis. 
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.


The annual base salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $125,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
