Responsibilities include instructional design and development of engaging learning materials (workshops, e-learning, virtual sessions), facilitating modules across EMEA, adapting to diverse audiences, collaborating with stakeholders, monitoring participant engagement, and ensuring alignment with leadership principles and DEI goals. The ideal candidate possesses proven experience in leadership development program design and facilitation, strong instructional design skills, excellent communication, and experience in a global role, preferably within EMEA.

Role Description

Activision Blizzard is seeking a skilled and dynamic Learning & Development Specialist for a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract. This role focuses on both facilitating and designing Manager and Leadership Development modules across the EMEA region for Activision, Blizzard and King (ABK), empowering leaders to excel in their roles and drive team success. Based in London, this individual contributor role is integral to our Learning, Development & Performance (LD&P) team, reporting to the Associate Director of LD&P.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality learning experiences to support our leadership framework. Additionally, you will leverage your instructional design expertise to create and evaluate impactful learning solutions tailored for managers and leaders. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure modules meet the needs of our diverse leadership community and drive engagement and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Design and Development

  • Design and develop engaging, high-quality learning materials for Manager and Leadership Development programs, tailored to the needs of ABK’s leaders in partnership with others in the LD&P Team.
  • Incorporate a variety of instructional design methodologies to create blended learning solutions, including workshops, e-learning, and virtual training sessions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning materials and modules, utilising feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Adapt existing content to suit diverse audiences and cultural nuances across EMEA.

Facilitation of Learning Modules

  • Facilitate Manager and Leadership Development modules across EMEA, ensuring high-quality and engaging delivery.
  • Adapt delivery style to suit diverse audiences, ranging from first-time managers to experienced leaders.
  • Utilise blended learning approaches, incorporating interactive workshops and virtual sessions to maximise impact.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with others in the LD&P Team and relevant teams to align facilitation and design efforts with our approach to leadership and development.
  • Provide feedback to the LD&P Core Team on content effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement based on participant insights.
  • Collaborate with the broader LD&P team to ensure consistency in learning delivery and design across the organisation.

Program Support and Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor participant engagement and gather feedback to ensure continuous improvement of modules and materials.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ABK and Microsoft’s leadership principles and DEI goals to ensure alignment during facilitation and design.
  • Support the rollout of new modules or initiatives as required, ensuring alignment with the EMEA region's needs.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience in facilitating and designing leadership and management development programs, with a strong focus on delivery and instructional design.
  • Demonstrated ability to create impactful learning materials using modern instructional design principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in a global or regional role, preferably within the EMEA region.
  • Strong ability to adapt facilitation styles and content to meet the needs of varying audience levels and cultural nuances.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on building relationships across teams and geographies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and championing DEI principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the gaming, technology, or creative industries.
  • Familiarity with manager and leadership best practice
  • Knowledge of virtual learning platforms and tools.
  • Passion for creating engaging, impactful learning experiences that align with organisational goals.
