Summary

Onward Search is seeking a Media Product Designer for a leading educational organization. This remote role (EST/CST preferred) is a 3+ month contract paying $30-$33/hour. Responsibilities include leading product discovery and design, user testing, documenting requirements, making product recommendations, building relationships with school districts, collaborating with project managers, assisting with RFPs, and coordinating with vendors. The ideal candidate will possess strong prioritization, collaboration, and communication skills, cross-disciplinary understanding of product management, software development, and QA, adaptability, leadership abilities, and effective communication. A strong portfolio and software expertise are essential. This is NOT a UX position.

Our client, a leading educational organization, is seeking a Media Product Designer to join their team remotely. This role is integral to the development of innovative educational products—both print and digital—that align with the needs of end-users and market requirements. The successful candidate will bring a growth mindset, strong organizational skills, and a positive attitude to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Location: 100% Remote (strong preference for candidates in EST or CST time zones)
Contract Duration: 3+ months
Pay Rate: $30-$33/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product discovery and design efforts, including user testing, documenting requirements, and writing user stories
  • Make product recommendations that meet the needs of both internal and external customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school districts to support ongoing research
  • Collaborate with research sites and project managers to track progress, organize feedback, and ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Assist with product development RFPs and coordinate with vendors to enhance and maintain products
