Middle Project Manager

N-iX is looking for a passionate, skilled, and motivated Project Manager to join the team.

Our customer is the leading school transportation provider in North America, being the owner of more than a half of all yellow school buses in the United States; Every day, the company completes 5 million student journeys, moving more passengers than all U;S; airlines combined and delivers reliable, quality services for 1,100 school districts.

Responsibilities:

• Taking full responsibility for project execution, including estimating and planning, budgeting, backlog management  and customer communications
• Establish communication channels with the Client's representatives and provide regular progress reporting
• Managing overall communication during Project Phases
• Working closely with the entire Team on project phases goals
• Execute the changes and risk management
• Manage team’s performance appraisals, provide feedback on performance and work on goals
• Work with Team Leads and other team members on project delivery analysis
• Resource planning and staffing
• Motivating and developing a project team
• Establishing smooth processes and executing process improvements
• Manage backlog, create and populate User Stories, perform decomposition and estimation of work with the team 
• Facilitate cross-project/program communication and cooperation
• Identify, track and resolve dependencies with other projects/programs
• Prepare reporting and release documentation
• Act as integrator of the team with Portfolio in SAFe processes

Requirements:

• Upper-intermediate English written and verbal communication skills
• 3+ years of proven experience in IT project management (during the last 5 years)
• Successful driving at least two projects hands-on from initiation to final delivery without supervision
• Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies, SAFe frameworks is a must
• Business Analysis or Data analyst background/experience
• Knowledge/Understanding of basic technical concepts and terminology such as: API, queue, microservice architecture, relational database, etc.

Nice to have:

• Proven experience in management of solution-based/fixed-scope/fixed-price projects
• Excellent knowledge of managing cross-cultural/cross-functional/distributed teams
• Experience in managing at least 10 subordinates on multiple projects
• Proven experience in project cost management and Scope/Change management
