Are you an experienced Paralegal with 3 or more years experience focused on Securities. Atomic Cartoon's parent company Thunderbird Entertainment is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our Legal and Business Affairs team with a wide variety of tasks.
Thunderbird Entertainment Group is a global award-winning, full-service multiplatform production, distribution and rights management company, headquartered in Vancouver, with offices in Los Angeles and Ottawa. Thunderbird creates award-winning scripted, unscripted, and animated programming for the world’s leading digital platforms, as well as Canadian and international broadcasters. Thunderbird develops, produces, and distributes animated, factual, and scripted content through its various content arms, including Thunderbird Kids and Family (Atomic Cartoons), Thunderbird Unscripted (Great Pacific Media) and Thunderbird Scripted.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Assist and support the Legal and Business Affairs team with production and regulatory matters.
- Draft corporate filings and assist with continuous disclosure documents.
- Prepare and complete filings via SEDAR+ and SEDI.
- Prepare meeting minutes.
- Manage the distribution database and assist with tracking distribution and sales agreements.
- Assist with scheduling meetings and track important dates/deadlines.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- 3+ Years experience as a Securities Paralegal.
- A Paralegal diploma from a recognized institution.
- Prior experience filing via SEDAR+ and SEDI.
- Familiarity with GSuite and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reviewing and interpreting contracts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently in a hybrid work environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A desire to learn about the entertainment industry.
- Prior experience within the film/entertainment industry is an asset.
START DATE: August 2024
This is currently a Hybrid role. Remote/Work from 3 days a week. 2 days of the week are in office at our Vancouver offices in Mt Pleasant. This is subject to change based on department needs.

In addition to competitive pay, this position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits including medical, GRSP, vacation pay, paid holiday break, paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Please note: This expected pay range is for British Columbia and is not applicable to locations outside of the province of British Columbia.
Wage ranges are based on a weekly rate.
