Job Description

Nine is Australia's largest locally owned media company, seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to join its growing team. This role is instrumental in guiding leaders across the employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive workplace, promoting HR best practices, and minimizing risk. The position focuses on empowering leaders to foster a culture of inclusiveness, safety, and well-being. Key responsibilities include providing expert advice and coaching on employee matters, ensuring policy compliance and legal adherence, guiding performance management, managing employee relations, championing organizational culture and values, and collaborating with P&C functions to enhance the manager experience.
Must have:
  • Proven experience in advisory and coaching leaders through complex employee situations.
  • Solid HR expertise with an ability to apply safety framework and employment law.
  • Talent for problem-solving and developing practical solutions for intricate situations.

Job Description

We're growing our P&C team! With a significant investment in our People & Culture function, we've created multiple new positions. Explore our open roles and help us drive our culture and strategic success.

Join Nine as a People & Culture Business Partner and be instrumental in guiding leaders across the employee lifecycle. 

You'll ensure a positive workplace while promoting HR best practices and minimising risk. Empower our leaders to create a thriving culture of inclusiveness, safety, and well-being within our People Experience team.

Day to day you will:

  • Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders on all employee-related matters, from performance to conflict resolution.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and legal compliance, developing accessible resources for leaders.
  • Guide leaders in effective performance management, including setting expectations, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues.
  • Oversee and manage complex employee and industrial relations, ensuring compliance and promoting fair treatment and psychological safety.
  • Champion and embed our organisational culture and values, supporting leaders through change management.
  • Collaborate with P&C functions to deliver seamless service, leveraging HR technology to enhance the manager experience.

Qualifications

You'll be a highly skilled and supportive HR professional with a talent for guiding leaders and empowering a positive employee experience and high-performing workplace. 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Proven experience in advisory and coaching, guiding leaders through complex employee situations.
  • Solid HR expertise with an ability to confidently apply Safety framework and employment law.
  • A talent for problem-solving, assessing intricate situations and developing practical solutions.
