Experienced Post Producer needed for animation and postproduction projects in Barcelona, with strong client communication and budget management skills.

We are currently looking for an experienced Post Producer (freelancer) to join our team.

* Not open for remote work, this position must be based in Barcelona.

* Barcelona locals & Europeans open to relocation will be given priority. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Post-produce projects in coordination with other staff to ensure the smooth and optimum use of resources.
  • Raise quotes and manage schedules of the projects.
  • Negotiate project pricing with prospective clients.
  • Understand and interpret client briefs
  • Understand the creative scope of projects in order to deliver outstanding work.
  • Maintain good relationships and communication with clients at all stages.
  • Providing cost estimations and bids. Log costs, spend and profit on a project-by-project basis.
  • Working with the VFX Supervisor in bidding new projects.
  • Developing project schedules and planning their implementation.
  • Budget an entire project accurately and make sure it’s kept within that budget
  • Monitoring the project progress to ensure that budgetary and scheduling targets are being met.
  • Working with the Supervisor in evaluating and hiring staff.
  • Interfacing with clients regarding budgetary and scheduling issues.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the animation and postproduction processes and workflows.
  • Significant experience as a Post Producer in an established advertising facility.
  • In-depth knowledge of a CGI production workflow and of general film postproduction.
  • Business acumen and an ability to balance financial responsibilities and negotiations.
  • Ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently within a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent organization skills, ability to take initiative, problem solve, manage time and work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel.
  • Advance knowledge of Shotgrid software (or similar)
  • Ability to motivate team members and to solve problems efficiently and patiently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, both in Spanish and English.
  • Eligible to work in Spain
