Summary

The Presentation Scheduler at WildBrain will build daily presentation schedules using Broadview, ensuring CRTC compliance. Responsibilities include managing content schedules, placing continuity elements, on-air promos, and reviewing transmission schedules for accuracy. The role also involves importing commercial break structures, spot files, and checking for compliance with minimum restrictions. Collaboration with other departments (Creative, Marketing, Sales) is crucial to ensure on-air execution aligns with campaign strategies. The successful candidate will review on-air material for accuracy and flag inconsistencies. Daily log reconciliation and schedule amendments are also required.
Must have:
  • Experience in promotions or traffic

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Programming & Acquisition, the Presentation Scheduler will assist in building out daily presentation schedules for our content. Key responsibilities include day-to-day management of the content schedules and ensuring accuracy and CRTC compliance of daily logs.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build daily presentation schedules into in-house system (Broadview), placing all relevant continuity (Next Menus, Station Idents, Break Bumpers, Squeezed Credits, Stings) and selecting non-automated secondary events (Next, New etc.)
  • Placement of all on-air promos in line with media planning strategy for specific campaigns; check alignment of all on-going campaigns with media plan
  • Review daily transmission schedules prior to being submitted to ensure accurate completion and placement of commercials and all interstitial content. Ensure all material is present and there are no clashes of relevant promotional messages
  • Import and check the Commercial Break structure files for each month
  • Import the Initial and Final spot files daily, ensuring correct placement and hourly and daily min. restrictions are adhered to
  • Assist the Sponsorship & Promotions team so all sponsorship campaigns TX as per the campaign instructions
  • Viewing all on-air material prior to scheduling. Check all audio and graphics in relevant language versions are correct. Material must align to versions requested. Flag any inconsistencies with media plan
  • Reconcile daily logs for relevant channels
  • Assisting the wider departments and your team members when schedule amendments are required to deliver KPIs
  • Working closely with Creative/Marketing/Sales, ensure all initiatives are executed properly on air

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experience in promotions, traffic, or a related field
  • Passion for content and general knowledge of television and multi-platform business
  • Knowledge of BroadView software (or other scheduling software) is preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work under time-pressured deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve, finding solutions to issues with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong collaborator, with the ability to work within a team and independently
  • Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
