The Publicity Coordinator will play a key role in executing strategic campaigns to promote authors, content, and products to both Christian and mainstream media outlets. Responsibilities include supporting the Media Manager, pitching media outlets, writing and editing press releases, coordinating media kits, building relationships with media contacts, and managing multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about faith-based media and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Must have:
  • 2-4 years of experience in public relations or communications
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet programs
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Prowly, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Ability to use AI prompting tools for content creation
Good to have:
  • Experience with PR tools such as Prowly or Meltwater
  • Knowledge of and alignment with Charismatic/Pentecostal theology

    Job Description

    Charisma Media is seeking a proactive, organized, and relationally-driven Publicity Coordinator to support our growing publicity efforts. This role plays a key part in executing strategic campaigns that promote our authors, content, and products to both Christian and mainstream media outlets. The ideal candidate is passionate about faith-based media, understands the Charismatic/Pentecostal landscape, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the Media Manager in executing publicity strategies for Charisma Media authors, products, and campaigns.
    • Align all publicity efforts with Charisma’s overall brand and business objectives.
    • Proactively pitch media outlets and secure interviews, features, and coverage for authors and content.
    • Write and edit press releases, pitch emails, and other PR content.
    • Coordinate the creation of media kits and press materials.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, journalists, podcasters, and influencers.
    • Facilitate engagement with launch teams or audiences through digital channels.
    • Maintain administrative systems, schedules, and project tracking to ensure timely execution of campaigns.
    • Stay organized while managing multiple simultaneous projects and deadlines.
    • Contribute to email campaign content development and editing when needed.

    Qualifications

    2–4 years of relevant experience in publicity, public relations, communications, or a related field (experience in Christian or publishing media a plus)

    • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet programs
    • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Prowly, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
    • Ability to effectively use AI prompting tools (e.g., ChatGPT or other content generation platforms) for drafting, brainstorming, and refining content
    • Experience with PR tools such as Prowly, Meltwater, or equivalent (preferred)
    • Knowledge of and alignment with Charismatic/Pentecostal theology and media culture
    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with attention to detail

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, OR equivalent professional experience (2–4 years minimum)

    Language & Communication Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Ability to craft clear, compelling, and grammatically correct business and promotional content

    Additional Information

    Location: On-site from our Corporate office, located at 1150 Greenwood Blvd, Lake Mary, Florida. 

    Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. 

    Compensation: $45,000 - $48,000/ year

    Benefits: Paid vacation and sick time and eight holidays per year. Company paid life insurance. Comprehensive health and dental plans available for employee and dependents after 60 days, 401K with matching after one year of employment, Christmas bonus.

    Work Environment: The work environment is a normal office setting. Although fast-paced, it is a pleasant environment, which includes cordial relationships. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. 

    Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods and able to lift and carry office supplies and equipment (up to 50 lbs). 

    Interview Process: If your resume is selected for consideration, you will be contacted by our Staffing Coordinator by email and will be asked to complete a Candidate Questionnaire followed by a telephone interview.  If you are selected further, you will be invited for an in-person meeting at our corporate office for skills testing and an interview with our Office Manager. Skills testing will include the following: Basic proofreading and spelling, personality profile, and typing test.  

    The final interview will be conducted by the hiring manager.  If you are chosen to fill the position, you will be contacted by the Staffing Coordinator with final job details and onboarding information.
