Summary

The Repair Technician I at IGT will troubleshoot and repair IGT-owned equipment at agent locations, including terminals and printers. The role requires proficiency in MS Office Suite and excellent communication skills. A valid driver's permit is essential.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE

To perform a variety of duties related to the troubleshooting and repair of all IGT owned equipment at agent locations example, terminals and printers, as well as prepare the equipment for distribution on the field. Performs disassembly, modification, repair, and assembly of equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checks and rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.  

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITES

  • To undertake troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning agent equipment, including replacement and/or repair of malfunctioning components, reconfiguration of baseline settings and cleaning of equipment and components.
  • Maintenance of an inventory of agent equipment and spare parts components, as well as consumables required to perform repairs and maintenance activities. Informs Bench Lead about inventory to ensure he has all the information required to set proper re-order levels. 
  • Configure and prepare equipment (such as, terminals, printers, and modems) for distribution on the field, including installing the firmware and the application.
  • Assist the Field Service Team in performing field service activities as required; this may include transporting, installing, and maintaining IGT equipment.
  • Make suggestions to improve performance and reliability of new and old products.
  • Maintain draw studio equipment trouble shooting, repair and preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Supports with the maintenance of an environmentally safe and clean work area; ensuring that items are securely kept, and that non-repairable or useless equipment are properly disposed.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUERIMENTS

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Technician’s Certificate in Telecommunications/Electronics field or diploma in EEET

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of one (1) year related work experience.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Owner of a valid driver’s permit.
  • Proficient in MS Projects, MS Visio, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS Outlook, Windows XP
  • Speaks clearing and concise, well understood
  • Works well with teams
  • Effective writing skills, including reports, procedures, and letters
