Job Description

As a Risk and Compliance Specialist, Core and Research, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of Google's products and services. You will develop and implement compliance programs and processes, identify and manage risks, and stay up-to-date on regulatory changes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to address compliance challenges and implement solutions. This role is based in London, UK.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role
  • 3 years of experience in a risk management, compliance or regulatory role
  • Experience developing and implementing compliance programs and processes
  • Experience with internal and external audits
  • Experience with current payments regulations
Good to have:
  • Experience with Consumer and Partner products or the technology industry
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Minimum qualifications:

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing and implementing compliance programs and processes.
  • Experience with internal and external audits, including preparation and participation.
  • Experience with current payments regulations, such as Payment Card Industry, Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), Anti-money laundering (AML).
  • Experience with Consumer and Partner products or the technology industry.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a understanding of the compliance requirements for products within our scope.
  • Take the initiative to identify and manage risks associated with these requirements.
  • Design and implement training programs, processes, controls, and structures to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance challenges and implement solutions.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry.
