As a Senior Java Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements, developing and maintaining scalable Scala-based applications, collaborating with stakeholders, delivering quality through testing, and collaborating with the team and customer throughout development. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of Java development experience, basic Scala knowledge, experience with Play and Spring Boot, AWS (DynamoDB, EKS, RDS), PostgreSQL, design patterns, and RESTful APIs. Strong communication skills and advanced Ukrainian language proficiency are required.

Job Details
Our customer is the European online car market with over 30 million monthly users, with a market presence in 18 countries. As a Senior Java Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets and enhancing the user experience for millions of car buyers and sellers.
Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure Scala-based applications, services, and systems
- Collaborating with product managers and other stakeholders to define project requirements and specifications
- Delivering quality through the well-written unit and E2E tests
- Collaboration and communication with team and customer in all development phases
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial Java development experience
- Basic Scala knowledge/experience would be a plus
- Experience with Play, Spring Boot frameworks
- Experience with AWS (Dynamo DB, EKS, RDS)
- Solid experience of working with PostgreSQL
- Strong knowledge of design patterns
- Rich experience creating REST-based web-services
- Experience of usage AWS services is a big plus
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Upper-Intermediate level of English
- Ukrainian language Advanced or higher
