Job Description Summary:

The Senior Director, People Business Partner is an enthusiastic and talented People leader who will partner closely with the PayPal Consumer, Venmo and Marketing leadership teams to drive and evolve forward-thinking global talent strategies and services. Consumer Leadership team is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic planning, P&L and day-to-day general management of all aspects related to PayPal’s consumer-focused operations, across PayPal and Venmo. You will own the development and implementation of thoughtful engagement with the team and employees to advance one-of-a-kind employee experiences. You will be responsible for supporting the people agenda for multiple senior leaders. You will also be accountable for leading programs at scale, from need identification to implementation, considering the unique needs of our internal customers and in close partnership with the People Centers of Excellence (Talent & Organizational Development, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, People Partner Support teams).

Responsibilities will be strategic and broad: leadership consulting on People matters, people manager coaching & development, performance and talent management, organizational realignment and workforce planning, talent sourcing, hiring & retention strategies, and People program development and implementation. This role will be responsible for helping to strengthen the senior leadership team of the function by providing coaching and guidance to senior leaders to further develop their leadership capability, impact, and capacity.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of HR/People business partner client experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and in matrixed, high-growth, global organizations.  Strong business acumen and domain expertise supporting global product and commercial organizations is preferred.   
  • Experience in partnering with highly matrixed organizations; specifically, experience in implementing talent strategies to support a start-up growth business.
  • Experience in a high profile, strategic HR/People Business Partner role with strong executive-level interface and a high degree of executive influence.
  • Significant depth in organizational design & learning, people manager development and coaching, facilitation, and talent management is desired.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required, with preference for an advanced degree in HR or Business Administration.
