As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world. Responsibilities: Design Generative models for image quality. Produce Generative merge for multi-camera fusion and video quality. Utilize fundamentals of photorealism and authenticity in Generative AI. Capture 3D assets with motion and depth, to increase immersion. Capture hardware (i.e., sensors and optics) with unique capabilities.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
  • Experience in Generative AI (e.g., Large Language Models, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models)
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning, natural language processing or other ML discipline
Good to have:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Experience with design and optimization of algorithms in performance constrained environments (e.g., mobile)
  • Knowledge of algorithms, including one or more of the following: imaging, computer vision, computer graphics, or parallel computation
  • Knowledge of modern deep learning techniques and Generative AI for photography
  • Ability to contribute to research communities, including published papers in venues such as CVPR, SIGGRAPH, ECCV, ICCV, ICCP, NeurIPS, and UIST

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
