The Team

As a Senior Technical Writer, you will join our in-house tools team, there you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our development teams and our end users, creating clear and engaging documentation for internal teams, developers, and players alike. You will work closely with Engineers, Designers, and Product Owners to ensure that all technical aspects of our tools are well-documented and easily understood. As a person you need to be curious and very pro-active about how complex technology can be documented in the simplest way possible to allow a wider audience to be able to use it through the documentation that you create.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably within the video game industry
  • Strong understanding of game development processes, including experience working with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and development tools.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Proven experience creating comprehensive technical documentation, including developer guides, API documentation, and user manuals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and maintain high-quality documentation for internal tools, engine feature and game systems.
  • Collaborate with our developers, QA team, and other stakeholders to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, user-friendly guides, manuals, and tutorials.
  • Create and update comprehensive developer guides, onboarding materials, user manuals, and knowledge bases for both internal and external audiences.
  • Review and edit technical content created by other team members to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Define best practices, and set standards for documentation processes and tools.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to continuously improve the quality of technical documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and tools to optimize documentation practices and efficiency.
