The Senior Vice President, Marketing APAC at Warner Bros. Discovery will lead marketing excellence across WBD businesses (excluding Theatrical) in the APAC region. Reporting to the Global CMO and with a dotted line to the President & MD APAC, this role requires setting a bold vision for consumer impact and aligning marketing efforts with business priorities. Responsibilities include developing and executing brand, global content, product marketing, and local original campaigns; leveraging iconic franchises; leading high-performance teams; optimizing strategies for subscriber growth and retention; and partnering with various teams. The SVP will champion Max, WBD's flagship streaming service, while also managing marketing for networks, consumer products, franchise marketing, and interactive games. Success requires exceptional creative vision, financial acumen, and agility in a dynamic market.

About the Role:

The Senior Vice President, Marketing APAC will be the driving force behind marketing excellence across Warner Bros. Discovery’s (WBD) businesses (excluding Theatrical), spearheading growth and driving brand success in the region. Reporting to the Global Chief Marketing Officer, Direct-to-Consumer and with a dotted line to the President & MD APAC, this leader will be a pivotal member of the regional business team, setting a bold vision for consumer impact and ensuring every marketing initiative resonates deeply with audiences.

While Max, WBD’s flagship global streaming service, takes center stage, this role is also responsible for the marketing strategy for an impressive suite of businesses including networks, consumer products, franchise marketing, and interactive games. The SVP will champion WBD’s iconic content franchises - think HBO, DC, Discovery, Harry Potter, and legendary Warner Bros. films - building passionate fan communities and supercharging the brand’s presence across the region.

In this role, you’ll lead high-performance teams in a fast-moving matrixed environment, bringing exceptional creative vision, financial savvy and agility in an evolving business landscape. With a laser focus on measurable results, you’ll ensure marketing efforts drive impact at both regional and local levels - creating a lasting legacy in one of the world’s most dynamic markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set a bold vision to make Max a brand that audiences love and choose repeatedly. Align marketing efforts with business priorities and develop a multi-year plan that delivers long-term growth. Adapting global strategies to local market needs is essential

  • Drive the marketing transformation of WBD’s business across APAC and balance the priorities of our legacy business with the growth of Max as a leading direct-to-consumer streaming platform

  • Lead the development and execution of brand, global content, product marketing and local original campaigns across APAC

  • Leverage WBD’s iconic content franchises to create campaigns that resonate with audiences, amplify storytelling and set a high bar for creativity

  • Push teams to deliver bold, imaginative campaigns that bring our beloved content to life, while driving operational efficiency through streamlined processes that enhance collaboration and reduce complexity

  • Champion emerging trends, platforms and tools to deepen fandom, grow engagement and expand audiences

  • Support country marketing leaders with clear, simplified decision-making and foster collaboration across teams to build a culture of trust, creativity and results-oriented excellence

  • Invest in best-in-class expertise across social, creative, media & measurement, acquisition & retention, merchandising, content experience, research, partner management and operations & marketing tech

  • Define KPIs and use data-driven insights aligned with global practices (working with Data & Insights) to optimize strategies for subscriber growth, retention, lifetime value and churn reduction. Provide actionable insights to improve marketing performance and deepen consumer engagement

  • Focus budget and resources on initiatives (brand, title, acquisition) and a media mix that maximizes brand impact and business growth

  • Serve as a regional advocate by representing local teams to global stakeholders and translating global priorities to local teams

  • Cultivate collaboration, ensure alignment with global strategies and deepen engagement through partnerships with teams like Customer Service. Break down silos and prioritize scalable global solutions where they add greater value

  • Partner with PR and Communications teams to align press strategies with brand and content marketing goals. Maximize positive exposure in local, regional, and international media through content-driven PR, influencer strategies and media relations

  • Navigate high-stakes, fast-moving decisions with clarity, cultural awareness and brand integrity. Respond swiftly and effectively to challenges, protecting WBD’s reputation and building trust with diverse audiences across the region

Your Experience:

  • Numerous years of progressive leadership experience in streaming, marketing and/or digital platforms, with a focus on growth and transformation in a global business

  • Proven success launching and scaling subscription-based streaming platforms

  • Knowledge of linear businesses and their intersection with streaming

  • Deep understanding of the APAC market, including cultural nuances, regulatory landscapes and consumer behaviour

  • Demonstrated ability to grow and lead high-performing teams in fast-paced, matrixed organizations

  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, budget optimization and performance tracking

  • Expertise in digital marketing, performance marketing (SEO/SEM), social media, CRM and CX

  • Ability to navigate and influence complex organizational structures and senior stakeholders

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Experience with emerging social media trends, content consumption and digital transformation in the streaming industry

  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a track record of success in both mature and high-growth organizations

  • Skilled at managing high-pressure situations, including public relations challenges, with professionalism and brand sensitivity

  • Proven ability to attract, develop and lead diverse talent while driving exceptional team performance

  • Passion for entertainment and a deep understanding of consumer behavior, storytelling and market trends within the industry
