The Opportunity

Location: Remote

Experience: 6+ months

Role: Contract

Sportskeeda is looking for highly motivated and passionate gaming journalists with a general understanding of the broader MMORPG genre and everything they encompass. This includes understanding and being experienced in different live-service genres like ARPGs, traditional MMOs, MMO-lites, Looter Shooters, and a keen interest in upcoming games that fall into some or all of these categories. Applicants must be able to write guides, features, and listicles on Gaming (MMO). This position will operate remotely on a freelance or contractual basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write 3-4 articles per day within a range of 400-1000 words for 6 days a week. The type of articles will be guides, listicles, general features, and stories related to MMO and live-service games.
• Write at least 60-75 articles a month.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight guidelines.

Requirements:

• Proven knowledge in live-service games and/or MMORPGs. Specifically, we are currently looking for players with a good grasp on Path of Exile (Grinding Gear Games).
• Strong command of the English language.
• Knowledge of on-page SEO, Google Trends, and related keyword research tools will be an asset.
• Candidates should preferably play the games that they are intended to cover and source media from personal playthrough, or otherwise be able to source relevant content and imagery from social platforms.
• Must have excellent time management skills and should be able to work with a flexible amount of supervision.
• Experience working at another gaming media house is optional but recommended.
