Job Description

This role focuses on bridging service parts management and engineering to ensure accurate release, maintenance, and change control of service parts within the Service Bill of Materials (SBOM) systems. The engineer will utilize technical expertise and collaboration skills to drive efficient part lifecycle management, supporting critical service operations. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving content for service change actions, overseeing the release and maintenance of service parts, conducting SBOM audits, serving as the subject matter expert on SBOM part management, resolving part interchangeability issues, hosting Change Review Board meetings, developing work instructions, and managing part issue escalations.
Must have:
  • 3 years of service parts analysis experience
  • Bachelor's in Engineering or related field
  • Understanding of vehicle systems and principles
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Good to have:
  • Experience with Enovia and Catia V6
  • Jira / Confluence experience

Role Summary

This role bridges service parts management and engineering, ensuring the accurate release, maintenance, and change control of service parts within our Service Bill of Materials (SBOM) systems. You will leverage your technical expertise and collaborative skills to drive efficient part lifecycle management and support critical service operations. This role will support the broader Service Parts Enginering team across all engineering systems.


Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and approve content for service change actions.
  • Oversee the release, maintenance, and change management of service parts within the SBOM.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and audits of the SBOM to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on SBOM part management, providing guidance and support.
  • Partner with Service Part Engineers to review, release, and approve part changes.
  • Investigate and resolve service part interchangeability issues during new part releases.
  • Host and facilitate weekly Change Review Board meetings with cross functional stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, templates, and resource documentation.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment on part and strategy changes.
  • Manage and resolve part issue escalations, providing expert review and corrective actions.
  • Provide SME support to downstream teams, including Service Catalog, New Part Introduction, and Service Documentation.
  • Cross train with Service Part Engineers for system support across the SBOM

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in service parts analysis or a related technical role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems and automotive engineering principles.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of handling complex issues.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage high workloads.
  • Experience with Enovia and Catia V6.
  • Jira / Confluence experience

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range Rate for California Based Applicants: $85k - $107k (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
