Our team is responsible for managing short, medium, and long-term special projects to help bring smiles to our fans and expand engagement with the Nintendo brand, product, services, and experience. Organizing, communicating, and collaborating with our global teams and partners to ensure smooth project launch, and support ongoing activities and operations.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Facilitates or manages mid-to-large regional and global projects including planning, execution and transition.
Responsible for project oversight, governance, and status reporting.
Manages day-to-day logistics of assigned projects, scope and associated tasks. Negotiates authority to move projects forward ensuring timely decisions.
Identifies, analyses, defines, and coordinates stakeholder needs and translates them into functional requirements.
Establishes, communicates, and manages appropriate project scope change management procedures.
Anticipates and identifies potential problems or risks and presents alternative solutions.
Creates, updates, and maintains all documentation related to the projects including charters, work plans, timelines, issue/risk logs and budgets.
Conducts comparison processes to identify and develop process improvements; provides recommendations on next steps and manages deliverables.
Provides subject matter expertise, guidance and design support to the organization.
Identifies and facilitates systematic improvements through project management best practices.
Trains and mentors less experienced staff.
Bilingual: Provides written and verbal English and Japanese translations, as needed.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
4-6 years of project management experience.
Preferred experience utilizing Waterfall and Scrum (Agile) Project Management methodologies.
Advanced skills in MS Office and online project management tools (SharePoint, Redmine, Jira/Confluence, etc).
Depending on specialty, may need specific understanding of department and procedures.
Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job family and basic knowledge of related job families.
Requires in-depth knowledge in own job family and basic knowledge of related job families.
Bilingual: Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1 or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management/Business or a related field, or equivalent.
Project Management Certification preferred.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $102,500 - $164,000 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
