Job Description
A Shift Manager with 8+ years experience in cloud-based systems, particularly Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. Proven expertise in Java based systems, APM tools, and Jenkins based CI/CD processes is required.

What You'll Do
- Adept at performing Root-cause analysis of complex problems involving multiple parties, networks, hardware, and software that relates to distributed cloud-based systems concerning scaling, performance, or network issues.
- Diagnose, isolate, and debug production issues to quickly resolve customer-facing incidents.
- Work closely with the release management team to plan and coordinate software releases.
- Collaborate with onsite teams and clients to ensure seamless performance of all the systems.
- And often involves routine grunt work on service requests to assist other teams with platform services.
- Organizing shift schedules of the team
- Hand off between changing shifts
- Supervising and organizing the team’s assignments based on priority.
- Making sure the team in shift adhering to SLAs of the tickets assigned
- Coordinating with product and development teams for immediate resolutions and long-term resolutions.
- Assigning shifts in alignment of 24/7 shift roster.
- Periodic reports and dashboards creation for Exec team.
What You Know
- A minimum of 8+ years of proven professional experience is required.
- Should be possible PM with software background or Release Manager from development background.
- Should have Good analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Should have strong systems background and be conversant with Application Development Technologies. Provides recommendations for and help troubleshoot Java based systems including Core Java, JVM internals, Garbage collection, Memory management, Unix OS, Database (RDBMS/NoSQL), Apache Kafka.
- Conversant with APM tools like App Dynamic, Data Dog or Dynatrace and other monitoring tools.
- Experience with Jenkins based CI/CD processes for release management.
- 8+ years’ experience as a technical lead. As needed act as an escalation point for Engineering Support and escalate to Engineering team for assistance and troubleshooting.
- Should be willing to work in shifts 24/7.
- 4+ years of experience of working in Cloud based systems preferably Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud in order of preference.
- 4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related functional field)
- Good To Have
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM Service Management tools
- Working experience in an e-Commerce retail environment.
