The Opportunity:

We are looking for Versatile, curious, and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of powerful payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.

The Work itself:

· Building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.

· Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings

· Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology

· Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.

· Understand and own component security analysis, including code and data flow review.

· Collaborate with security team to implement and verify secure coding techniques.

· You have a strong work ethic to focus on our goals.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications
· 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
· 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
· Strong experience incorporating Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, utilizing technologies such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Sonar, Puppet.
· Strong Knowledge of Unix/Linux and working in a shell environment.
· Building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
· Good Knowledge in Cloud Technologies (AWS or Azure or GCP)
· Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration services.
· Familiar with Java and REST APIs, Spring Boot.
· Familiar with SQL and Datastores
· Experience with Agile and Test-Driven Development methodology.
· As an end-end champion for your products, you will have strong debugging and Unix skills to help support our Operations teams.
· A background in the payment’s domain is a plus
