Job Description

The Sr. Sales Executive is responsible for selling Visa’s value-added-services into medium to large financial institutions and negotiating contractual arrangements. This role involves selling solutions like processing capabilities, loyalty programs, and digital issuance enablement to help issuers stay ahead of customer needs through superior digital experiences. As part of the NA Value-Added Services team, you will develop, maintain, and execute sales strategies for US Financial Institutions, collaborating to ensure clients receive the best of Visa. The primary goal is to increase revenues from existing accounts and win new accounts.
Must have:
  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Continuously review the client landscape to recommend, develop, and implement new and creative approaches to growing the Visa business.
  • Develop a deep understanding of your clients' businesses and create customized account plans that help them grow their business.
  • Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts with financial institutions to help them use our payment processing services.
  • Learn about all Visa has to offer to proactively pitch compelling solution sets that will help your clients maximize their payment portfolios.
  • Play a key role in helping marketing and product development launch new products in your territory.
  • Use your expertise to contribute to the development of the overall functional strategy & annual goals and coach & mentor your peers to lift the performance of the entire team.

  • Expertise in negotiating business agreements, with a strong understanding of financial controls and the legal aspects of contract management.
  • Exceptional skills in proactively building strong internal and cross-functional relationships.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Job Description

The Sr. Sales Executive is responsible for selling Visa’s value-added-services into medium to large financial institutions and negotiating contractual arrangements. Specifically, you’ll be selling a suite of solutions designed to help issuers stay ahead of customer needs through superior digital experiences and engagement, including solutions like processing capabilities, loyalty programs, and digital issuance enablement.

As a Sr. Sales Executive for in our NA Value-Added Services team (VAS), you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing sales strategies for US Financial Institutions. You’ll collaborate with a fantastic team to ensure our clients receive the very best of Visa. Your goal will be to increase revenues from existing accounts and win new accounts.

Essential Functions:

  • Create New Opportunities: You'll continuously review the client landscape to recommend, develop, and implement new and creative approaches to growing the Visa business.
  • Build Strong Relationships: You'll develop a deep understanding of your clients' businesses and create customized account plans that help them grow their business.
  • Negotiate Contracts: You'll prepare proposals and negotiate contracts with financial institutions to help them use our payment processing services.
  • Obsess about Customers: You'll learn about all Visa has to offer to proactively pitch compelling solution sets that will help your clients maximize their payment portfolios.
  • Drive Innovation into the Market: You'll play a key role in helping marketing and product development launch new products in your territory.
  • Lead Courageously: You’ll use your expertise to contribute to the development of the overall functional strategy & annual goals and coach & mentor your peers to lift the performance of the entire team.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 189,500 to 323,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
