Job Description:


The Senior Tech Artist is a key role that acts as a bridge between the artists and programmers, taking the lead in ensuring seamless integration of art content and features into the game while upholding the artistic vision and adhering to technical constraints. This position requires extensive experience and expertise in 3D graphics, rendering engines, and game development.


Essential Functions/Responsibilities:


  • Lead collaboration between art teams and programmers to produce and integrate technically accurate art content into the game engine.
  • Provide expert support on the art pipeline and engine tools to both artists and engineers.
  • Assist with asset performance and validation to ensure quality and efficiency on mobile platforms.
  • Address complex technical challenges in the 3D asset pipeline.
  • Work with engineers and testers to diagnose and resolve in-game issues, ensuring smooth gameplay.
  • Maintain clear communication across departments to ensure team alignment.


Qualifications:


  • Strong knowledge of various rendering engines, with a commitment to staying current with the latest advancements and techniques.
  • Proficient in 3D character animation within Unity, including setting up character controllers, rigidbodies, and timelines.
  • Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Artist, with at least one shipped title; experience in developing high-quality PC, console, or mobile games.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as HLSL, Python, MEL, C#, or other game development languages.
  • Proven ability to create and leverage real-time shaders to achieve specific visual effects.
  • Extensive experience with the Unity game engine, demonstrating the ability to maximize its potential in game development.
  • A deep passion for game development, coupled with a keen eye for detail and quality.
