Part of the Rocket Science Group, Terminal Velocity is a multinational team composed of seasoned multiplayer veterans with experience from top studios like Blizzard, PUBG, Epic, and Unity. We specialize in designing and supporting platform services tailored to the unique needs of our clients, focusing on social, monetization, matchmaking, and fleet management systems. We pride ourselves on delivering stable services and boring game launches, blending deep technical expertise with an understanding of today’s global gaming environments.

Terminal Velocity is more than just a team; it's a launchpad where our diverse expertise comes together to craft the next generation of gaming experiences. We’re committed to empowering studios and publishers to overcome the most complex challenges in today’s gaming landscape.

About the Role:

As a Technical Producer at Terminal Velocity, you will seamlessly blend the skills of a Producer with the technical expertise of a Technical Account Manager. This role demands a deep understanding of game development, client relations, and project management. As the primary liaison between our internal teams and external clients, you will ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products and services. Your ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable plans while managing stakeholder expectations will be essential to our success. In this role, you'll work on cutting-edge, innovative projects at the forefront of the game industry, helping shape and support the next generation of live service titles.

What You'll Do:

  • Project Management & Delivery: Manage the entire lifecycle of multiple projects, ensuring milestones are delivered on time and within scope and budget. Align teams around project plans and schedules, executing efficiently within Agile practices.

  • Risk Management & Quality Assurance: Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks, ensuring quality standards are upheld.

  • Technical Expertise & Problem-Solving: Provide technical guidance to teams and clients, ensuring everyone understands the project's technical aspects. Bridge client needs and technical solutions while staying current on industry trends.

  • Strategic Planning & Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within projects and collaborate with the Business Development team to pitch services to clients.

  • Culture & Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative, positive work environment and manage distributed teams across time zones. Drive continuous improvement within the team.

  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain project documentation and deliver regular status reports to stakeholders. Ensure key learnings are shared to improve future projects.

WHAT WE VALUE:

  • Experience: Professional production, technical account manager, or project management experience.

  • Game Experience: Proof that you have shipped more than one game cycle through to release. Experience of certification for current-generation consoles (e.g., Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5) is a plus.

  • Multi-discipline Team Experience: Coordinating and/or managing multiple teams of multi-discipline developers.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: Attention to detail across multiple projects and teams.

  • Drive: Keep team members working efficiently and effectively toward project goals, maintaining focus on the valuable product increments and scope.

  • Passion: Championing continuous improvement and setting out new challenges for your studio.

Additional Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of game development processes, including design, programming, art, and QA.

  • Basic understanding of back-end development and principles to support effective client communication and technical problem solving.

  • Excellent project management skills with experience using tools like Jira, Trello, or similar.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess situations and provide actionable solutions.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail across multiple projects and teams.

What You May Also Have:

  • Mentorship Skills: Previous experience managing, coaching, or mentoring less experienced producers.

  • Certification Experience: Experience with certification for current-generation consoles (e.g., Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5).

What We Can Offer:

  • Hybrid Working Arrangement: As a member of our team, you’ll have the flexibility to work at home and collaborate with your fellow engineers in person!

  • Competitive Salary and Benefits Package: Your health and wellbeing is important to us, so we offer a variety of benefits including:

    • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

    • 401(k) Retirement Plan with Employer Matching

    • Annual Leave, Plus 9 Paid Holidays and Winter Break Office Closure

  • Annual Research Credit: We always encourage personal growth, so we provide all of our team members with an annual credit to further enhance your skills!

  • Professional Development: We offer biannual reviews, as well as opportunities to collaborate across disciplines, internal tech talks, and the chance to learn from specialists with backgrounds from across the games and software development industries.

  • Work-Life Balance: We really believe that home life comes first and we promote a flexible working environment. And as an added bonus: We don’t crunch!

  • Office Perks: In addition to everything above, we also provide:

    • Weekly Team Lunches (plus Snacks!)

    • Fully Equipped Team Lounge, Including our Favorite Consoles and Games

    • And, most importantly, a supportive and creative working environment made up of talented and friendly people, as well as the opportunity to work on some pretty cool games and projects – if we do say so ourselves!

A Friendly Note from the Recruitment Team:

Let us do the work for you: Even if your profile isn't an exact match for all of the qualifications listed above, we still want you to apply. Our team members come from a variety of different industries, not all of which are immediately relevant to game or software development, and we welcome all candidates of similarly varied backgrounds, communities, and identities.
