Visual Designer - Email, SMS, and Forms Templates

Klaviyo is a technology company that combines customer data and marketing software. Fully remote candidates will not be considered at this time.

About the Team:

Our Product Design team is organized into a series of product pillars, where multiple teams contribute to the goals of a larger mission. This role sits within the Communication pillar which helps Klaviyo customers get started with our app, utilize the tools needed to capture new customers, and craft personalized communications to build lasting relationships with them.

About the Role:

Thousands of businesses rely on the Klaviyo platform to build efficient, effective, and data-informed marketing messages. We are looking for a Visual Designer to join our team. This role will focus on designing visually appealing and highly engaging email, SMS, and forms templates. The ideal candidate is a visual thinker with a knack for compelling content creation. Bonus points if you have experience using Klaviyo's platform.

How You'll Have an Impact:

  • Design and develop visually stunning email, SMS, and form templates that resonate with our customers.
  • Write engaging content for templates, ensuring it speaks to various audience segments and marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with the product, marketing, and customer success teams to understand user needs and create templates that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, marketing best practices, and industry standards to ensure our templates are cutting-edge.
  • Test and optimize templates for various devices and email clients to ensure consistent user experience across all platforms.
  • Bonus: Utilize your knowledge of Klaviyo to enhance template functionality and user experience.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree + 2 years of related experience OR Advanced degree without experience OR 6+ years of related experience.
  • A sharp sense of composition and style, using combinations of color, typography, layout and messaging to express different messages.
  • Design experience across a variety of platforms (desktop, tablet, iOS, Android, etc.)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your visual design skills, particularly in email marketing and template creation.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive content.
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo or similar email marketing platforms is highly desirable.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in e-commerce or builder experiences.
  • Ability to adapt to new information and an openness to change conclusions when necessary; if one approach doesn't work, you're ready to try something else.
  • Experience designing with Figma.
