Job Description

The Warehouse Lead supervises department employees, manages performance and attendance, and provides leadership to meet performance goals quickly, safely, and efficiently. Responsibilities include meeting daily throughput goals, tracking team metrics, overseeing product flow, coordinating with other departments for on-time delivery, focusing on continuous improvement (5S), and meeting individual and team performance goals. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience managing a team in a web order fulfillment warehouse setting, people management skills, intermediate MS Office (especially Excel) skills, and experience with RF scanners. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. The position is fast-paced and requires working quickly and effectively.

Job Description

Warehouse Lead

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm

General Purpose:

The Lead will supervise department employees, manage performance, time and attendance. The Lead will provide leadership to assigned employees to meet performance goals quickly, safely, and efficiently. Leads provide guidance, support, and motivation. Leads delegate and coordinate tasks and oversee the activities of their department. Leads manage conflict, monitor processes, and represent their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet daily goals for throughput in both quality and efficiency.
  • Track individual/team metrics
  • Oversee the overall flow of product and adjust workload as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments on product fulfillment - On Time Delivery.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and 5S.
  • Meet individual and team performance goals

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience managing a team in a warehouse setting specifically web order fulfillment.
  • People management experience required.
  • Intermediate user for MS office, Excel specifically
  • Experience with computer hardware such as RF scanners helpful
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED.
