We are the Virtual Influencer Agency, one of the first consultancies to develop avatars and metaverse experiences. A friendly, fast-paced consultancy that develops and executes metaverse integration strategies for global brands such as Mastercard, Coca-Cola and Imperial Brands. Due to recent contract wins and the expansion of our client roster, we are looking to hire a 3D character / environment modeller to join our creative team.
Tasks
The Role
Primarily, you will help guide and build environment assets such as buildings in verses including Decentraland, Sandbox, Spatial and Unreal Engine based worlds (yet to launch).
You have strong capabilities within character engines such as Unreal Engine and a good knowledge of building physical structures in programmes such as Unity, Blender and VoxEdit – or a desire to learn these skills.
You will be creating avatars in Unreal Engine, and work with facial motion capture technology, delivering video outputs onto social media channels. You will also use AI generated voice and attach conversational engines to the character and help develop other assets for social channels.
These avatars have back stories and personalities and interact with the ‘real world’, producing music, art and even film. As they live on social media, part of the role will also be to create assets that live on social and to propagate their footprint in various verses.
Responsibilities
- Help to produce environment assets such as buildings and games in-verse
- Support the Metaverse Creative Director on creation of floorplans, designs and environment edits and builds
- Own the development and delivery of ‘head and shoulder’ videos into motion captured avatars
- Be responsible for finding the right AI voice solution for our avatars and improve the conversational engine integration
- Work with the Metaverse Creative Director to improve our best practice on the production pipeline for our avatars and content
- Produce social media assets of our avatars
- Have a curiosity and love of all things 3D
Requirements
Essential attributes:
- A strong understanding of character engines and facial motion capture
- One years’ experience – we would also consider a graduate, not necessarily from a formal university, but someone who has studied the relevant systems for a few years and is now ready to ‘graduate’ to paid work
- An attitude of real initiative
- The ability to work through trial and error to help continuously improve processes, with lots of freedom and little management
- A creative and engaged brain
- Experience using social and digital media and an understanding of how to upload and measure the response to content
