Description
SSI is seeking a Graphics Design specialist with expertise in virtual reality and 3D modeling tools to support a Navy program in San Diego, CA. The candidate will provide support to an AR/VR architecture project for a Navy client with multimedia and Computer Aided Design (CAD) development to include 3D concept visualization.
Partial Hybrid/Telework Role, Must be in San Diego and available for onsite work as needed
Requirements
SSI is seeking a Graphics Design specialist with expertise in virtual reality and 3D modeling tools to support a Navy program in San Diego, CA. The candidate will provide support to an AR/VR architecture project for a Navy client with multimedia and Computer Aided Design (CAD) development to include 3D concept visualization.
Partial Hybrid/Telework Role, Must be in San Diego and available for onsite work as needed
Requirements
- Must have active Secret Clearance or be eligible to obtain
- 2 – 4 years of relevant experience with 3D modeling tools and software, including but not limited to Blender and or Maya.
- Understanding of rendering, texturing, shaders, lighting, and animation principles.
- Ability to create materials and optimized surface shaders.
- Experience with virtual reality and/or augmented reality hardware (Meta Quest, Hololens).
- Experience with data collection i.e. photogrammetry software, photography, 3D scanning.
- Proven experience creating digital twins of real-world objects and spaces for use in gaming applications.
- Unity game development knowledge of interfaces, tools, and capabilities is a plus.
- Ability to utilize 3D modeling, texture, mapping, and other techniques to create game assets, visual effects, and animations that are optimized for Unity game engine or equivalent.
