The Account Manager role involves managing athletic team and administrative travel for Brown University. This on-site position, representing Anthony Travel (a division of On Location), requires arranging all aspects of athletic team travel, including group air, hotel blocks, and charter buses. Responsibilities include arranging individual athletic travel using GDS, providing emergency and after-hours service, obtaining travel approvals, meeting ticketing deadlines, and maintaining professional client relationships. The role emphasizes collaboration within a relationship-based business, focusing on fostering an environment of collaboration and building on relationships across leadership, peers, and teams.
Must have:
  • Arrange athletic team travel (air, hotel, bus).
  • Arrange individual athletic travel (GDS).
  • Provide after-hours travel assistance.
  • Meet ticketing deadlines.
  • Maintain client relationships.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of Sabre or similar GDS.
  • Experience in athletics travel.
  • Group booking experience.
  • Car and hotel booking experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

The Role and What You'll Do:

The Account Manager serves the athletic department for Brown University team and administrative travel.  The position is based on-site at Brown University but is a representative of Anthony Travel, a division of On Location. Arrange all aspects of athletic team travel, including group air, hotel block, and charter bus.

  • Arrange all aspects of individual athletic travel, including GDS air, hotel, and car.

  • Provide emergency and after-hours service to the athletics department.

  • Obtain travel approvals and provide trip planners.

  • Meet ticketing deadlines.

  • Maintain a professional working relationship with the clients while representing the Company.

We'd Love If You Also Have These: 

  • Knowledge of Sabre or similar GDS.

  • Knowledge and experience in athletics and/or athletics travel.

  • Group booking experience and knowledge.

  • Car and hotel booking experience.

  • Knowledge of general office PC-based programs, including Microsoft Office 365.

  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to produce accurate work under the stress of and meet ticketing deadlines.

  • Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly.
