Since the advent of the internet, we have seen tools that have allowed people to express their creativity. The ease of creating videos for instance has empowered a generation of people to unleash their imagination.  

There is one frontier that needs conquering- 3D.  

As we know, AR/VR has not taken off as imagined. At least yet. The vast majority of the internet is devoid of 3D experiences. This is a technological problem. At Eccentric, by virtue of our One3D Engine, we are building the infrastructure for creating 3D experiences. Beginning with Enterprises. With some of the most iconic transportation/mobility brands in the world. One3D is an alternative to Unreal Engine/Unity for brands to create immersive experiences for the web.

So far, we have single handedly 3D-enabled the Automotive Retail ecosystem in India. With partnerships with the likes of Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Toyota in place, we make sure Indian buyers enjoy a superior purchase experience. The testament to that is over 3,000 car dealerships across the country that leverage our 3D infrastructure to serve experiences. Our deployment markets now include Australia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, South Africa with 10 more countries in line for 2025.  

What is the EXACT role? 

The CAD Specialist will be responsible for 

1. CAD data - Data Sourcing, Data Clean-Up, Scene Tree Sorting and Optimization

2. Optimize the data set with a focus on visualization.

3. Analysing the CAD data for creating logical marketing variants.

4. Structure the CAD data to create Marketing Master Model using available CAD tools.

5. Work on info-services and ensure product correctness.

6. Follow ONE3D conventions to deliver standardized 3D-models for down-stream applications.

7. Maintain & own the 3D-models, implement updates and adapt it for various production requirements for its entire life cycle.

8. Polygon reduction for various AR/VR/Real time use cases.

9. Closely work with Project Managers, Internal Teams & clients.

Reporting would be the Head of Production (3D)

What are the Pre-Requisites? 

1. Work Experience of minimum 3 years.

2. Formal education in the field of Engineering, Architecture or Design preferred 2-5 years of experience or more.

3. Solid understanding of basic CAD design principles.

4. Proficient or familiar with at least one of the most common CAD software (like Catia, Solid works, UG NX, Inventor, Alias, Rhinoceros).

5. Proficient with the Microsoft office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Proficient with Excel formulas and macros.

6. Exposure to Adobe Suite with focus on Photoshop.

7. Excellent eye for details with aim for high quality deliverables.

8. Ability to prioritize, work independently or within a groupA (international, multi-cultural collaborative) and proceed with objectives without supervision.

9. Strong communication, presentation & interpersonal skills.

10. Good organizational skills to deliver on time and with high quality, self-motivated for logical thinking and problem-solving.

11. Working out of our Mumbai office. Relocation can be discussed.

Additional Considerations

1. Enthusiasm towards automotive technology and industry would be beneficial.

2. Exposure to industry standard 3D content creation software would be an added benefit (like Maya, Blender, InstaLOD)

3. Showing affinity towards automation via coding/scripting and tools is a plus
