What are the key priorities within this role?
In this role, you will focus on owning the P&L for one of our three Practices. You will do this by looking after the budgeting and forecasting, managing the month-end close and acting as the finance business partner collaborating closely with the wider finance team and other key stakeholders in the business.
Key responsibilities:
Business Partnering:
Act as a trusted advisor to the management team of the practice, offering financial guidance to support strategic decision-making.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including client management and operational teams, to better understand business needs and provide financial support.
Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance colleagues.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Provide in-depth financial analysis to support key business decisions;
Monitor financial performance against forecasts, budgets, and targets;
Prepare insightful reports to present findings and recommendations to management, leadership teams, and key stakeholders.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate submissions to our board.
Support the forecasting process with regular updates and adjustments.
Financial Modelling & Scenario Planning:
Create and maintain financial models to analyze the impact of various business scenarios and help optimize business strategies;
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support growth initiatives, cost management, and investment decisions.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies across finance and operational functions;
Work with cross-functional teams to implement changes and continuously enhance the quality of financial reporting and analysis;
What do we expect from you?
It is also very important that you possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (CIMA/ACCA qualification preferred but not essential);
3-5 years of experience in a commercial finance, financial analysis, or similar role;
Exceptional oral and written communication skills;
Excellent skills in Excel;
Experience using PowerPoint, Power BI, Salesforce and ERP systems;
Advanced level in the English language is a must;
Experience working in fast-paced & dynamic environments.
