Job Description

This contract position for a Content Specialist - Baseball requires a minimum of one year of experience as a baseball writer or two years as a content specialist. Responsibilities include scouting MLB content across various platforms (web, social media, forums) and formats (audio, video, text) to inform article development. The role involves collaborating with writers to ensure content style and form, assisting with headlines and H2s, monitoring MLB trends and player news, and developing content source repositories. Writing a specified number of articles per month may also be required. Proficiency in creative writing, English (spoken and written), and SEO is essential.

Must have:

Min 1 year Baseball writer exp or 2 years Content Specialist exp
Scouting MLB content across platforms and formats
Collaborate with writers on content style and headlines
Monitor MLB trends and player news
Develop content source repositories
Proficiency in creative writing, English, and SEO

The Opportunity

Experience: Min of 2 years experience as a Baseball writer/ 1 year as a Content Specialist

Role: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Scouting MLB content over various platforms (web, social media, forums) in multiple formats (audio, video, text) to help the team in developing articles in real-time.
Keeping in contact with the writers and helping them with bringing out the right style and form of content.
Helping the writers out with Headlines and H2’s of articles.
Keeping an eye on the latest MLB trends and stories across the league, while also up to date with the latest developments in the professional and personal lives of prominent players and personnel across the leagues.
Developing repositories with regards to content sources, podcasts, journalists, websites, forums, etc.
Writing (x) number of articles per month (if applies)
