Job Description

As a Customer Engineer III, you'll partner with sales teams to showcase Google Cloud's capabilities to clients. You'll help customers understand Google Cloud, design cloud solutions, conduct proofs of concept, and troubleshoot technical issues. Responsibilities include identifying business opportunities, addressing technical objections, supporting bid responses, providing product briefings, and collaborating with product management. You will guide customers through application environment assessments, recommend modernization roadmaps, and suggest integration strategies for Google Cloud implementation. A strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise-level technical solutions is crucial.

Must have:

10+ years cloud native architecture experience
Cloud infrastructure engineering expertise
Experience with on-premise infrastructure
Virtualization and containerization knowledge
Excellent presentation skills to technical and executive stakeholders

Good to have:

Application migration to cloud platforms
Security expertise (encryption, identity management, access control)
Networking knowledge (SDN, routing, VPNs, load balancers)
Experience building Greenfield territories in Enterprise accounts
Fluency in Mandarin

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.
Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers and firewalls.
Experience prospecting, building, and maintaining customer relationships from scratch, with a passion for building Greenfield territories in Enterprise accounts.
Ability to communicate in Mandarin fluently in order to effectively communicate in this customer-facing sales role.

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$214,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
Share enterprise infrastructure modernization knowledge to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environments and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastruction and application modernization.
Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure needed to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
