Job Responsibilities :

Internship for Cybersecurity role at Razer

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing: Help in scanning systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
Monitor security alerts and incidents: Work with the security operations team to monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
Security auditing: Participate in security audits and reviews of systems, networks, and applications to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Data encryption and firewalls: Assist in configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and other security infrastructure.
Research security trends: Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and techniques.
Develop security documentation: Help create and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
Security awareness training: Support the development of security awareness programs and help educate staff on cybersecurity best practices.
Collaborate with IT and other departments: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve security-related issues.

Pre-Requisites :

Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of network security, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common security tools.
Familiarity with firewalls, encryption, and security protocols.
Understanding of security principles such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA triad).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages (Python, Bash) is a plus.
Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus but not required.
