Our Team

From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS / OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence. 

This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. OneSKY will transform Australia’s sky, and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.

The Role

The Cybersecurity IVVQ Test Team Lead oversees the verification of CMATS security features to evaluate the effectiveness of applied security controls and provides objective evidence to IRAP assessors regarding the system's cybersecurity status.

This role is also responsible for preparing the Accreditation Dossier required to obtain operational authorisation from Australian authorities. The Test Team Lead collaborates with the CMATS Cybersecurity Systems of Systems Team and coordinates with other teams, such as System Verification and Integration, to align verification logic between different test campaigns.

Overall, the position ensures that CMATS meets stringent security and accreditation requirements through thorough testing and inter-team coordination.

This position requires a minimum of 4 days in office split between our testing facility in Tullamarine and corporate office at World Trade Centre, Melbourne CBD.

Leading a small team, some key responsibilities include:

• Verifying ISM Security Controls
• Develop Standard Security Operating Procedures document
• Contribute to the Security Posture understanding and improvement
• Conduct regular Security Vulnerability assessments
• Collaborate with the regular PENTEST campaigns

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualification in Information Security (or similar)
• Industry certifications relating to cybersecurity

Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of security architectures, technologies, and design and development.
• Knowledge of Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM).
• Experience working with formal systems engineering requirements
• Experience with authoring/reviewing technical documentation.
• Good presentation and verbal communications & liaison skills (English)
• Experience with Engineering Tools (DOORS / VIVALDI)
• Software development environment technologies, e.g. Jira, Git, Puppet, Jenkins
• Experience with Nessus Vulnerability Assessment Tool
• Leadership skills relevant to managing small teams

• This position requires Australian defence clearance eligibility
