Job Description

As a Data Center Management Network Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for designing and managing data center networks, ensuring their reliability and scalability. You will engage in the entire lifecycle of networks, from inception and design to qualification, validation, deployment, operation, and optimization. You will also work with other team members and groups to analyze requirements and develop solutions and policy recommendations. This role requires a strong understanding of network routing protocols, experience with network equipment providers, and proficiency in Python coding. You will be responsible for scaling systems sustainably through automation, and evolving systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity. You will partner with Google's internal application groups to design network infrastructure that meets their networking requirements. Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3 years of experience with network routing protocols

Minimum qualifications:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design data center management networks and act as SRE for a set of networks.
